The Erewash Valley GC Seniors Section is open to all members who have reached the age of 60. We currently have over 75 paid up members, over 50 of those play regularly in our Competitions and Roll ups.

We hold a competition every Monday at around 0730 where partners are decided on the basis of the time you arrive to ensure a good mixture of partners over the season. We rotate between singles, 4 ball better ball,Am-Am, Texas Scramble and Am-Am Waltz. We have 6 Single Stableford competitions played between April and September each season that are handicap qualifiers.

The entry fee of £2 for all competitions is used to award balls as prizes to the winners and those who came close.

There is also an Order of Merit Shield for consistency, the Atkinson Cup pairs competition, Lacy Cup singles knockout and Mel Birch Charity Trophy with prizes presented at the Annual Dinner in January.

We also have 2 Away Days one in May & the other in September.
In addition to these there are roll up competitions every Wednesday and Friday that aim to tee off by 08:00hrs.

The Seniors Section also play in matches, home and away with 9 other local golf clubs.

The section members nominate and appoint a Committee of 11 members who act as Starters and Match captains in rotation. The Current Chairman is Tony Cooper. We also have an Almoner to monitor and support our members who are going through difficult times.
