Ladies Section
We are very proud to be a Women in Golf Charter signatory
We are committed to encouraging more women and girls to play golf. And we want more families to enjoy golf as a group leisure activity. We have made and are meeting a series of commitments designed to ensure that our sport is accessible to all. Here are just a few examples:
- We run club competitions when men and women compete together, in the same competition
- Peak tee times are available to all members, restrictions are by membership category only.
- We have a recruitment programme targeting Women and Girls of any ability, and we make them welcome
- Our tees are ability based, not gender based. No one plays off the "Ladies tees" any more!
Our Ladies Section is made up of members of all ages and abilities, from new golfers to county players. We maintain Tuesday mornings specifically for Ladies, however the majority of women's competitions are "alternative day", which can be played on Tuesday or on the Saturday.
There are seven teams for ladies to choose from to represent the Club, giving golfers of all abilities a great way to play other courses and meet new people.
As well as a wonderful course, Erewash Valley has excellent practice facilities, a fantastic new driving range where we run weekly group coaching sessions for ladies. Aside from the golf, there is a great clubhouse and a varied calendar of social functions, from BBQ's to the Summer Ball!
All new members also have the option of being allocated a "mentor", which helps their transition into the club. Steeped in history, Erewash Valley is everything you would expect a Golf Club to be... except more welcoming!
